We supported Tilbury Douglas (formerly Interserve) in the delivery of community benefits associated with the ambitious plans to create an internationally significant new setting for the world’s greatest collection of Scottish art at the iconic Scottish National Galleries on Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh.
The programme included graduate and modern apprenticeships and significant engagement with both secondary and tertiary education in Edinburgh.
Facilitated by streets-UK, the design team and on-site management team provided professional input to a series of events with the pupils at Drummond Community High School who were studying for levels 1 and 2 of Class of Your Own’s ground-breaking Design, Engineer, Construct! Programme.
Specialist talks and site-visits were also arranged for engineering students at Heriot-Watt, Napier and Edinburgh Universities.
