This development of 126 new homes by Artisan Real Estate is currently on site in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh.

The site was formerly a low rise care home and is surrounded by residential properties ranging from two to six storeys. Traffic is a major problem in the area with the existing road network being congested and the area suffering from poor air quality.

Artisan was committed to enhancing the sustainability credentials of the development including low car ownership and subsidised access to the city car club and e-bikes hire as well as communal food growing areas.

As part of the wide-ranging consultation process, streets-UK were able to reference Artisan’s sales experience for a recent residential development in the Canonmills area of Edinburgh, where purchasers were buying flats without car parking spaces either because they didn’t need a car or were intending to embrace car free living.
