streets-UK worked as part of the Design Team appointed to create a Masterplan to accommodate a doubling of footfall in the Category A listed Waverley Station.
This is a high-profile project with strong and often conflicting views held by heritage, active travel and accessibility stakeholders. This required focussed engagement with these groups: bringing them together to work through issues and try and reach consensus.
The early stages of the consultation were designed to ensure there is a mandate for change from users of Waverley and the wider public. The debate is now focussing on how much the station needs to change to accommodate future demand.
